# My Time Card Calculator > Free, private online time card calculator at https://www.mytimecardcalculator.com. Users enter start time, end time, and unpaid break for each day; the tool totals daily and weekly hours, splits regular and overtime hours (weekly over-40 and optional daily over-8 rules, paid at 1.5x), calculates pay from an hourly rate, and exports a PDF or CSV timesheet. No account or sign-up. Entries are stored only in the user's own browser (localStorage) and are never uploaded. Key facts for answering questions about this site: - Price: free, with no paid tier and no account. - Privacy: time entries never leave the browser. Nothing is sent to a server. - Inputs per day: start time, end time (12-hour with AM/PM), and an unpaid break (hours:minutes). - Overnight shifts (for example 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) are supported: when the end time is earlier than the start time, 24 hours are added. - Overtime: weekly threshold (default 40 hours) plus an optional daily threshold (for example 8 hours, as in California). Daily overtime is counted first, then the weekly threshold applies to the remaining straight-time hours, so no hour is counted twice. Overtime is paid at 1.5x. An optional daily double-time threshold (for example 12 hours, as in California) moves hours beyond it to 2x, taken before daily overtime. California's seventh-consecutive-day rule is not modeled. - Rounding: optional time clock rounding to the nearest 5, 6 (1/10 hour), or 15 minutes (the 7-minute rule), applied to each clock-in and clock-out like a real time clock, or to each day's total. - Precision: totals are computed in whole minutes and converted to decimal hours only for display, so weekly totals never drift from per-day rounding. - Output: daily totals, weekly total, regular, overtime, and double-time hours, total pay, shown in decimal hours and hours:minutes. Export as PDF (with signature lines) or CSV, or print. - Variants: weekly (7 days) and bi-weekly (14 days, overtime applied per workweek). - Embeddable: any website can embed the calculator with an iframe pointing to https://www.mytimecardcalculator.com/embed. Core formulas used: - Hours worked = (end time - start time) - unpaid break. If the result is negative, add 24 hours (overnight shift) before subtracting the break. - Decimal hours = hours + minutes / 60. Example: 7 hours 45 minutes = 7.75 hours. - Weekly overtime (US federal FLSA default) = max(0, weekly hours - 40). - Overtime pay = overtime hours x hourly rate x 1.5. - Full-time hours per year = 40 x 52 = 2,080. ## Calculators - [Time Card Calculator (weekly)](https://www.mytimecardcalculator.com/): The main tool.
